CROCODILE

  Crocodile's skin is highly sought-after in fashion industry as it represents a status symbol for wealthy people.

  Crocodiles are brutally killed for fashion industry. Crocodile skin is expensive because the process of breeding until tanning is a long and tedious one, lasting at least four years.Crocodile skin commonly used to produce high-fashion handbags and other accessories.

  More than hundred crocodiles are filled up in a concrete pit to prevent damage to their skins. They are kept in a crowded environment with a small dirty pool. In order to promote growth, the young crocodile were fed every day while the older were fed once a week.

 

  When the crocodiles are around 36 months, they being dragged and placed on a table. The workers bend its nose down and plunge a metal rod into their brain. After their spine are being cut, they leaved to bleed out by raising up their legs. After their spinal cord has been severed, the workers proceed to tear out their skin.

 

  Most crocodiles live 50-60 years in the wild and some of them can live more than 80 years, but in the factory they are killed for their skin before even reaching adulthood.
