Angora Rabbit is a variety of domestic rabbit. They are bred largely for their long, soft wool, which may be removed by shearing, combing, or plucking.

Millions of rabbits are specifically bred and killed in factory farms for their fur because the rabbit fur industry demands the thicker pelt of an older animal for a particular quality fur.Angora wool commonly used to produce sweater, scarf, boots and accessories.

In order to get longer hair, the workers pluck their fur comes with the skin. They pull their ears and pluck their fur. The rabbits scream at the top of their lungs in pain when their fur are ripped from its skin. They struggle to escape as their legs are tied up.

After their fur is ripped out, the rabbits are locked in a small and bare wire cage to regrow its fur. They are forced to spend their entire miserable lives standing in the wire cage and surrounded by their own waste without any movement. This process repeated every three months for the two to three years of the rabbit’s life. Rabbits who have survived this repeated abuse are hung upside down with their throat slit before their carcasses are sold.

Rabbits suffer from pain, injuries and illness in the unpleasant environment. They never have a chance to dig, jump, or run as they would in the wild, they cannot perform their natural behaviours in their entire life.
